I’m Craig, aka DJ C-Love, and I’ve been a wedding DJ for over 14 years. Before stepping into weddings, I spent 4 years as a nightclub DJ, and I still love bringing that high-energy vibe to every event. My style combines old-school classics with today’s hottest tracks, making sure every celebration feels fresh, fun, and unforgettable.
When I’m working with you, I treat you like family. My goal is for you to feel like we’re friends by the end of your big day—someone you’d want to meet up with for a beer when you’re back in town. Making sure you and your guests have an amazing time is what drives me, and I’m dedicated to making every moment special.
I believe that a flawless event starts with careful planning. I put in the work ahead of time to make sure all the details are covered, so you can enjoy your day with as few issues as possible. I’m also a team player and work closely with your other vendors to keep everything running smoothly, creating a seamless experience for you and your guests.
My background includes 24 years as a police officer with the Asheville Police Department and 9 years coaching offensive line at Asheville High School.I’ve developed the ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient, ensuring everything runs smoothly, even during high-pressure moments. I’m also a husband and proud dad to three incredible kids, which keeps me grounded and connected to what really matters: building memories and relationships.
I’d love to make your wedding day an experience that you and your guests will remember for years to come. Let’s create the perfect soundtrack to start this new chapter together!
Pronouns: (He/Him/His)
Experience: With over 16 years of wedding DJing and 5 years of nightclub DJ experience, I’ve had the pleasure of performing at over 300 weddings, honing my skills and learning exactly how to read the crowd and create an unforgettable atmosphere. My time with Remix Weddings (14 years) has allowed me to perfect the art of crafting personalized playlists that perfectly capture each couple's unique love story. I also have extensive experience in corporate events, private parties, and other celebrations where the focus is on fun, energy, and creating lasting memories.
Hobbies: Listening music with my three beautiful girls who keep me up to date on all of the new music! Coaching defense for Asheville High's football program, getting beat at golf by my wife and everyone else I play with. Finding new ways to get to the beautiful waterfalls in Western North Carolina.
Interesting things about me: I played football at Western Carolina University. I am the school resource officer at Asheville High School. I spent a year and a half as an undercover police officer.
Favorite genre of music to spin: My favorite genre to spin is 2000s hip-hop. Tracks from artists like 50 Cent, T.I., Nelly, Nicki Minaj, Lil Jon, and Usher hold a special place in my heart. The energy and nostalgia they bring to a dance floor are unbeatable. I love the way those beats bring people together and make the crowd vibe out to familiar, classic tunes.
Songs I like for when the older folks have left the dancefloor: When the older crowd heads off the dance floor, I know it’s time to keep the party going with high-energy tracks. I love mixing in songs like “Down” by Jay Sean feat. Lil Wayne, which always brings a lively, upbeat vibe. Another go-to for me is “Low” by Flo Rida feat. T-Pain, a track that everyone loves to groove to, as well as “Hot In Herre” by Nelly, which adds that perfect throwback energy. “All of the Above” by Amino and T-Pain is a fantastic choice to keep the crowd hype, and “Party Up (Up In Here)” by DMX is always a hit with its undeniable energy. These tracks keep the energy high and ensure the dance floor stays packed.
What I have been listening to lately: Recently, I’ve been vibing with classic 90s R&B and early 2000s hip-hop. There’s just something about the soulful, smooth rhythms of 90s artists like Aaliyah and Missy Elliott, mixed with the high-energy beats from the 2000s era of OutKast and Lil Wayne that has been fueling my sets. This combination of smooth and upbeat has a great flow for any event, and I’ve loved incorporating it into my performances.
My favorite moment during a wedding: My absolute favorite moment during a wedding is when the couple has their first dance. The emotional energy in that moment is always so powerful. I love watching the couple connect, completely lost in the music and each other, while their friends and family look on with joy. But it doesn’t stop there. My favorite part is seeing how the energy builds throughout the night—when guests, from young kids to grandparents, are all dancing together. Seeing everyone, no matter their age, on the dance floor is a reminder that music is the great unifier.
