Planning your NC Gay Wedding
We love love, and we love gay weddings. When planning your NC LGBTQ wedding or event, the best piece of advice we can offer you is.... forget what you may think weddings “should” look like…
When it comes to your big day, do it your way. You can both walk down the aisle together, or do it one by one. With the right venue set up, you can also walk down separate aisles simultaneously, joining one another at the altar. You can also choose whether you would like to have a bouquet and if so who throws it, or if you want to throw it together. Want to start your day with cocktail hour, and then have the ceremony? Do it! That is the fun part about gay weddings. We can make our own rules!
When it comes to bridal parties, don’t think for a moment that there’s one right way! You can have a best woman or a man of honor, you can mix up your respective grooms maids and bridesmen. There is no right or wrong. Some couples choose to not have a bridal party at all and keep the ceremony just about the happy couple. Whatever you do, as long as you are surrounded by people that love and support you, that's what counts!
