What You Can Expect From Us
You’re booked and we’re pumped to be part of your event! We can't wait to celebrate with you. Rest assured, we’re going to help make it an awesome celebration that will be memorable and fun for you and your guests!
Here are some things you need to know to make this ride even smoother:
- How to get ahold of us: Email is the best way to reach your DJ and they should have reached out by now to introduce themselves. Should you misplace their contact information, just reach out to the office at info@remixweddings.com
- Availability: Everything with our team can be done via video chat or over the phone for convenience, but if you want to meet in person (which we prefer), just let your DJ know. For meetings we have an office located in South Asheville at 565 Long Shoals Rd Suite 103. Most of our meetings have to take place during the week. Weekend meetings are available during the "off season", but are usually are not possible during the fall and spring seasons due to our event schedules.
- Emails from us: You will get various emails along the way. Some will be reminders to do things like fill out your planners, others are offering an amazing service you may not know you needed, and others are tips/helpful info. We like to stay in touch! One last thing, you will get an email from us AFTER the wedding as well, and we love reviews (hint hint).
- Sample timelines for wedding clients: If you are planning a wedding, we have compiled a few sample timelines to help you plan your night. Every event is different and there is no right or wrong order of events. Our sample timelines are simply what we have found works best from our experience.
- Some Quick Tips for Wedding Clients (and other events in general): After looking at the sample timelines, read these 12 quick tips for planning your event. You’ll thank us later! You can find lots of other great information on our blog to assist you in planning your event!
- Meals: You are not required to feed the DJ. We won’t starve. For longer events, if you do provide a meal, we will really appreciate it! We will eat it quickly with the other vendors and out of sight of your guests.
- Planning: You can use the online planner to communicate all the details of the event to your DJ and make your musical requests. Your DJ will reach out to you about a month before your event to start making final arrangements and to nail down the final timeline, etc. Your DJ will also arrange a final consultation with you for the week of your event to go over details and make sure everything is in order. Don't feel rushed to complete the forms or make your music choices. Just try to have everything completed before your final planning meeting with your DJ.
- Arrival/set-up: On the day of your event, we typically arrive about two hours before the event begins. Set up usually takes about an hour, but we like to make sure we have a little buffer just in case!
- Requirements: As per the contract, we don’t need much other than a 5' deep by 12' wide set up area and a power outlet within 25 feet of the set up area. We will bring everything else that we need!
- Gratuities: Tipping is totally up to you! We typically see 10-20% tips from our clients if they feel the DJ has exceeded their expectations.
- The Music: Of course, this is the most important thing to us, heck, we are DJs after all. If it’s important to you, please take some time to work on your online request lists, or send us the link to your fave Spotify playlist.
